Maximilian Schuch works between painting, sculpture, and installation. For him, form construction is a culinary process, a synaesthetic agglutination or aggregation of qualities — individual forms are like dishes. Most recently, he collaborated with Prof. Charles Spence, Director of the Crossmodal Research Laboratory at the University of Oxford, at the intersection of sensory perception, aesthetics, and material innovation. He completed an MA Writing and a Graduate Diploma: Art & Design at the Royal College of Art, London, as well as a BA Fine Arts at the HfbK Hamburg and the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris. He lives and works in Frankfurt.
